A New Adventure at Home at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel

Lake Nona continues to expand with additions like the Lake Nona Wave Hotel.

(COURTESY VISIT ORLANDO)

Cutting-edge technology makes the Lake Nona Wave Hotel the most exciting hotel to open this spring. It’s home to many first-of-its-kind amenities including View Smart Windows, which provide shade in response to sunlight and other outdoor conditions. Guests have access to one of the world’s largest autonomous shuttle fleets and Rosie, the hotel’s robot butler, named after the Jetsons’ housekeeper, who uses 3D cameras and light detection technology to navigate.

In addition, a handful of guestrooms use special technology to enhance the sleep experience. They’re equipped with The Restorative Bed by Bryte, which uses a pressure-release system to stop you from waking up during the night, and Smart Nora, a snoring aid that lifts your head when it detects snoring.

The hotel gets its name from its undulating façade of curved glass, inspired by the energy of a wave. It is home to a collection of 500 artworks, as well as a tropical enclave with sculpture garden. At the nearby Lake Nona Performance Club, guests can take in classes or treatments at Dr. Deepak Chopra’s first-ever Chopra Mind Body Zone and Spa. Back in the hotel, the cuisine is as artful and inspiring as the surroundings, with flavors from chef Guillaume Robin, a veteran of Michelin-starred kitchens, and two-time World Pastry Champion Laurent Branlard. lakenonawavehotel.com
