Karen Persis*

Karen Persis is passionate about helping people build their families, and helping families obtain
formal, legal recognition of these bonds.

Practice Area: Karen provides comprehensive legal representation in all areas of assisted reproductive technology law and adoption, including surrogacy, egg donation, sperm donation, and embryo donation. She has represented families in 16 countries on 5 continents, dozens of states, and all throughout Florida.

Education and Certifications: BS, Journalism, UF, 2001; JD, UF, 2004.

Awards/Honors: Karen Persis recently completed her term as Orange County Bar Association President for 2022- 23. She is a Fellow in the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys. Karen was named by The Best Lawyers in America® as the 2023 Family Law Lawyer of the Year in Orlando. She is also a University of Florida 40 Under 40 Honoree (2019). Congratulations to Karen for being named by her peers as one of Orlando magazine’s Best Lawyers 5 times since 2010.
