Marc D. Shapiro*, MD

Marc D. Shapiro, M.D. is a true pioneer in 3 Tesla MRI. He has over 35 years of expertise and compassionate care in Central Florida.

About/Education: Dr. Shapiro is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology. Graduate of the University of Kentucky Medical School, interned at USF Med, and radiology residencies at UCLA and Mount Sinai New York. His neuroradiology fellowship was at Yale, where he
remained on the faculty for four years, becoming chief of Neuro MRI and Head & Neck Radiology.

Professional Accomplishments: Dr. Shapiro was coeditor of the Radiologic Clinics of North America’s Edition on MRI of the Head and Neck. He also authored a chapter on 3T Imaging of the Spine for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America, and a subsequent chapter on 3T MRI of the Spine in NEURO IMAGING CLINICS OF AMERICA.

Off Hours: Dr. Shapiro enjoys spending time with his wife, Valerie, and their dogs.
