Meet Dr. Nizam Razack, Founder and President of Spine & Brain Neurosurgery Center

Nizam Razack*, MD, JD

Dr. Razack performed the world’s first series of robotically implanted Deep Brain Stimulators for Parkinson’s Disease. He continues to be involved in deep brain stimulation research, developing patents of spatial temporal deep brain stimulation with the University of Central Florida. Dr. Razack also performed the first MR Guided Focused Ultrasound Procedure for Essential Tremor in Central Florida at the UCF Lake Nona Medical Center.

Education/Certifications: Dr. Razack is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, and Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He completed his Neurosurgical Residency at the University of Miami. He went on to obtain fellowships in Neuro-Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, and in Complex Spine Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Razack is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He is also admitted to The Florida Bar and a member of the Orange County Bar Association. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Orlando Health and as President of the Florida Neurosurgical Society in the past.
