Jack Winchester and Elizabeth McLean met in the Summer of 2018 during a marketing internship in Atlanta. What began as an office crush led to a date at Jeni’s Ice Cream, and it soon became clear they had found something special. Early on Jack and Elizabeth were a great pair, dating long distance between Auburn, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia, attending their fair share of Auburn Football games while building a life with their Australian Labradoodle, Stella, in The ATL.

When Jack popped the question in December of 2021, there was no question where the wedding would be held, as Elizabeth’s Mom, Jane McLean, serves as the Director of Catering at The Alfond Inn in Winter Park. Jack and Elizabeth wanted a wedding with a classic and timeless feel, and The Alfond Inn in March was the perfect backdrop to do so. From the start, they ensured every detail was well thought out and in dusty blue. With welcome bags full of nods to family history, to Toomer’s Lemonade at the bar, there were plenty of personalized touches throughout the weekend.

The ceremony was held at The First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, where Elizabeth grew up attending church. The ceremony was personal while remaining traditional through both Elizabeth and Jack’s childhood pastors officiating. After the ceremony, guests attended cocktail hour at sunset on the lawn at The Alfond Inn, then moved into the impeccably decorated ballroom, designed by Lana Faulkner at Fairbanks Floral, for the reception. The room was decked in stunning florals, classic table decor, and lit by candlelight. The center of the room boasted a monogrammed dance floor while overhead, a chandelier of roses hung as the guests danced to The Buzzcatz. There was no lack of desserts, from the groom’s cake of the Auburn Football Stadium to Jeni’s Ice Cream as a nod to Elizabeth and Jack’s first date. The reception came to a close with a confetti drop as the band played “Last Dance.”

The night was full of smiles, family, and dear friends, to celebrate the beginning of the Winchester’s new chapter.
