Orlando Dining: Euphoria Fish House at Margaritaville Resort Orlando

Looking for a new spot to try in Central Florida? Euphoria Fish House at Margaritaville Resort Orlando may just fit the bill!

The restaurant, located off of the main lobby, overlooks the hotel’s grounds, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The night that we visited, there was also live music in the cozy bar that fronts the restaurant (pictured above.)

Parrotheads will know that “Euphoria” refers to Jimmy Buffett’s beloved yacht of the same name—you can see a pic of the vessel as you walk into the lounge.

It was a quiet, rainy summer evening when we dined, so we’ll show you around a bit and give you a a tour of our meal.

The Atmosphere

Although the feel is definitely upscale, we were welcomed warmly to the beautiful dining room, and enjoyed attentive, friendly service.

The spacious area left plenty of room for guests to spread out a bit, and it was a treat to have a view of the kitchen while the team prepared our dishes.

Dishes and Drinks

The seafood-centric menu offered a nice balance of the familiar and the unexpected. To begin, we tucked into a basket of surprisingly satisfying warm bread with citrus and herb-laced butter.

Next, we sampled Paradise Shrimp, a duo shrimp sampler of citrus-poached shrimp and shrimp ceviche. It’s the perfect bite for a sultry summer day. Watch out for the kick from the habanero in the poached shrimp, however. 🙂

We also enjoyed the classic Lobster Bisque that featured a twist: The traditional, Sherry-laden creamy soup surrounded a perfectly fried conch fritter. We appreciated the contrasting tastes and textures.

For our main dish, my husband chose the Cavatappi Al Forno, a decadent combination of lump crab, shrimp and Boursin cream sauce tossed with pasta. While it sounds terrifically heavy, we found that it was just the perfect amount of richness; the flavors were luxurious, but we didn’t feel weighed down.

I opted for the Florida Grouper, served over crab fried rice and accompanied by a soy ginger glaze. I appreciated the fusion of Asian flavors with Florida ingredients.

For dessert, our server surprised us with all three of the restaurant’s options: a Key Lime Tart, a Brownie Sundae and Coconut Flan.

While all three were lovely, the flan was the clear winner in our book, with lots of fragrant coconut flavor and a creamy texture.
