ABOUT THE PRACTICE

The Center for Advanced Gastroenterology (CFAGI) is primarily based in Maitland, with satellite locations in Lake Nona, Lake Mary, Apopka, Oviedo and Orlando. CFAGI is the only practice in Central Florida with the FUSE technology, which allows a higher detection rate of precancerous polyps and lesions. For twenty years CFAGI has specialized in consultations, diagnostic procedures of the upper and lower GI tract and treatment of hemorrhoids. All providers are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. They treat Hepatitis B and C and conduct motility studies for diagnosis and treatment of GI disorders.

DR. RAOUF HILAL graduated from Baylor College of Medicine. He served several terms as Chairman of Internal Medicine at South Seminole Hospital as well as Vice Chair of the Leadership Committee. He is also an assistant professor at UCF. He specializes in irritable bowel syndrome, Hepatitis C and difficult cases of gastroparesis.

DR. ANDRIA MUSHAHWAR graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine. He received the award for research excellence granted by AASLD and continues to conduct clinical research. His special interests are liver, biliary disease and IBD. Dr. Mushahwar has served as Seminole County Medical Society’s president, and has volunteered in medical missions. He is an assistant professor at UCF.

DR. JOSEPH QUAGLIATA was born and raised in New York City, where he completed his training at Columbia Presbyterian. He is an associate professor at UCF and is proud to serve as the Chairman of Internal Medicine at South Seminole Hospital and specializes in HCV, therapeutic endoscopy and ERCP. His true passion is spending time with his wife and children.

DR. PAUL S. PANZARELLA completed his training at NYU Winthrop Hospital. He is one of the few physicians in the Orlando area who performs Interstim, an innovative treatment for patients who experience fecal incontinence. He also performs in-office hemorrhoid banding treatments, which offer a painless alternative to surgery. He is a devoted husband and father to his three boys.
